Congratulations to Beholder for being the first female to win the Pacific Classic. She was brilliantly handled by her connections, trainer Richard Mandella and jockey Gary Stevens. As her owner B. Wayne Hughes suggested, a match race with American Pharoah would be a natural for the fall meet at Santa Anita.  A big day yesterday with five winners. Good luck today!
